New Cushions

I've been making more cushions to jazz up my little flat. One cover in suffolk puffs and the other made with ruffles. Love them both and they look so cute and dainty on the sofa. Also if you look below, I just wanted to share a picture of my new fabric, newspaper print, I LOVE it!!! I think I will make a neck warmer with it and shall have a think of what to do with the remaining - exciting crafty times ahead!

At home with Amy

Well I haven't posted in since last year - very strange saying that. I arrived back in Banbury on Friday night, and instead of unpacking, I couldn't wait to get back into my Art. I had two projects on the go at the weekend, and for a change they're not for sale, just some craftiness for me to have instead.

My first piece is a framed piece of Artwork. I had lots of fun with marbling inks, which I must admit, left me with a very messy sink. I used the marbling inks for the background colour and then painted on white doilies ontop to give a cute, vintage type effect. The photos aren't great, but it does look good up on the wall!

My next weekend project was my 'Sex and the City' cushions. I was out with the girlies at Craftwoman before heading back to Oxford and picked up the coolest shoe fabric and lacey/polka dot ribbon. I knew I wanted my cushions to be made with this. Anyone who knows me wells, knows about my little shoe addiction, and these are a great little addition to my flat!!
